| "The Test" |
| This is an old temple in the steep mountains. The sun has already set; only the shadows of people were seen in the Chinese mountains. "Ugh, Kensou, I can't shoot Psycho Ball." Bao whined. "It's okay, Bao, you'll able to soon enough." Kensou replied. Bao looked like he was about to cry, picking up the food with chopsticks. Bao was very serious unlike before, Kensou tried to cheer him up. "Well, Kensou you still can't shoot Psycho Ball." Bao spoke. "Ugh! You're hurting me there-- we should train hard together." Kensou answered. "Yeah, I'll train hard!" "Good! Good!" said Kensou with a smile on his face, but inside he really wasn't that happy. The power hasn't still returned him. Trying to forget his problems, he shoves his food in his mouth. "Athena! One more bowl!" Kensou said. "Huh? Kensou, you already ate 3 bowls of rice? Are you sure?" Athena said concerned. "It's okay. Kensou's stomach isn't that weak." Chin, who was listening to the conversation, finally decided to speak. "Power doesn't come back, if you don't train…" Athena agreed. "That too. Master Chin" Kensou laughed. "Master Chin, Athena. That's different." *** Early morning, where the little birds chirping were heard. Bao and Kensou's training was still going on. "99… 100. Phew! I'm tired..." Kensou wiped his brow. "Kensou, you always reach the standard push-ups." Bao pointed out. "Ha, of course. I can't be lying around in this perfect condition!" But, Kensou was already worn out. "Then, shoot Psycho Ball now!" Bao moaned. "Wha! Now!?" "Don't you think when you are in a good condition, it'll work?" "Okay! Let's give it a try!" Kensou stood up. Kensou got up and posed for Psycho Ball. "Hyahh! Psycho Ball!" Kensou's palm was heating up. Oh! If I try a little harder! Then, his palm became hotter; a circular object came out from his hand. "Kensou! You did it!" Bao scream in a high tone. The Psycho Ball was getting bigger and bigger. Huh? My Psycho Ball was this big? Thought Kensou whilst the Psycho Ball launched towards a big tree. Booom! The tree snapped. "Wow! That was great! I… uh--" Kensou collapsed. "Kensou! Kensou!" *** "What happened to Kensou?" Chin questioned Bao, Athena was taking care of a knocked out Kensou. Next to her, Chin was listening to Bao. Kensou used up all his strength on push-ups and unleashed the Psycho Ball. Maybe Kensou's power was hidden deeply inside him.. and Bao's too. "Okay… I was wondering if we should enter or not, but I've decided. This year, we're entering!" Chin announced. Athena turned to Chin. "Uh… Master. But, Kensou is out cold and Bao's power hasn't returned yet." "That's why we're entering the tournament. Like the last tournament something might change. And if we're lucky, we'll get a good result." Chin answered. "You're right. Entering the tournament can get us answers." "I wish my psychic power would return. I wish yours would return too, Kensou!" Bao whined yet again. "Yeah. It looks like something is hidden in the tournament. But, that is always in the tournament." "Whether there is anything suspicious or not, Kensou, Bao and Athena… it's all for the benefit for you." Looking at the sleeping Kensou, the three renewed the resolution toward the tournament. |
