Combos are probably the most damaging aspect in KOF as of now. Comboing consists of chaining any move into another move. Simple combos are obviously easy to perform while the complicated combos are harder to perform. First of all, to start off comboing, you should know you character's cancelable chart. The cancelable chart shows what normal moves of the character is cancelable and all its properties. Once you've familiarized yourself with that, you can start experimenting linking it with moves. As you may find out, not every move in the game is comboable.

 

Finding / executing simple combos is good, but once you get the hang of it, you can get to the next level. After a normal command, you can execute a special move. That you already know, but you can also execute a command move. Now, not all command moves link after a normal, so again, you'll have to experiment with it. Once you've found a command move which links after a normal, you need to find out whether it is cancelable, meaning if you can nail a move after it.
 

 


 


Now that you've got the basics of comboing down, there's some other in depth things that you should know. Two hitters are easier to combo with simply because they give you more time to do motions. But, some two hitters can only be canceled on the first hit. Also, aside from going: normal move command move special move. You can substitute the special move with a DM / SDM. But, you will have to be quicker because a DM normally requires a more difficult motion.

 


With that all cleared up, there's still more in depth comboing details. Aside from just using standing Cs and Ds, you can also combo when crouching with pokes like As and Bs.

 


Now with all the single combo possibilities done, there's still another way to combo. Using Strikers first of all requires a stock, some timing and a lot of patience. To start the combo, you can use any of the techniques above, then you carefully call your Striker of your choice out. Depending on your Striker, you will have to call your Striker out on their respective situations.
 

 


 


Of course, after a given Striker combo, you can probably follow it up with anything of your choice. In the case above, K9999 could have followed it up with a command move, a special move or even a DM / SDM.
